Vasant Panchami Celebration

Vasant Panchami was celebrated in a unique way at Saurabh English School, today. The school, which is one of the many under the Kalorex Umbrella, encouraged students to set goals for themselves and offer them to the deity, to symbolize their commitment to them.
Most students set down clear academic goals in pieces of paper and then offered them to the Goddess Saraswati, whose blessings they sought. Goddess Saraswati is the goddess of knowledge, music, art and therefore finds a place in every school.
The student body looked resplendent dressed in yellow to welcome the spring season. A classical dance and a soulful song along with the chanting of ‘shlokas’ completed the celebration. Teachers led their classes in goal setting and chanting and laid the foundation of the entire program.

Sports on SES campus

“In kicking a ball or playing a game, you are much closer to the Divine than you will ever be in prayer.” – Swami Vivekananda
Saurabh English School encourages its students to play different sports and supports their efforts. It has provided a supportive environment for students like Pratha Pawar, Nikita Chauhan and Yuvraj.
The grounds are enlivened with the sounds of children playing games like Kho, dodge ball, badminton among others. Their minds are sharpened through playing the ancient game of chess.

Yali – the green guardian

The school took up the baton of supporting the different aspects of the environment to inculcate awareness and cultivate good habits amongst its students. Students increased the green cover of the city by planting trees in the vicinity in an AMC plot nearby,
A rally was conducted to create awareness of the importance of water, especially potable water besides creating a mime and making posters. Reducing the use of plastics and reusing old containers, made students aware of the importance of conserving resources.
Models of different sources of energy were made and displayed by students.

Vasant Panchami Celebrations

Students of the school celebrate Vasant Panchami in an unorthodox manner by offering their academic goals to the goddess Saraswati. They offer prayers and perform the ritualistic prayer as well. The campus is filled with enthusiastic students wearing yellow to welcome the onset of spring.
